The job at FACS is mine. I will offically be a Child Protection Worker as of June 5, 2006. I was suppose to have my job interview 2 weeks ago, but the morning of that day I received a phone call from my interviewer stating that she decided she was not going to interview me since she did last year and was going to offer me a job then, so she was calling to offer me the job now. How sweet was that! :)
Three more weeks of classes and four more weeks of my internship. School will be over forever!!!!! WOOOOOO FUCKING HOOOOO!!! :) :) :)
The plans for my party are still in effect for April 22nd... i hope to see you all there! Many things are in the need of celebration with many drinks.
As I mentioned previously, I wanted to take little vacation as I graduation present to myself and just to relax before I enter the real world. It seems that most likely I will be going to Florida. I am just looking through the details, but within the third week of May, I will be down in the sun! :)
Ohh.... the excitement!!!

Last post I really did not feel like discussing anything. I just updated on a few adventures I had been on, but really no more details than that. I was going to continue the post with the crazy thoughts in my head and overwhelming emotions, however those are no longer there!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!
I must admit this has been a fantastic week. I went from extreme stressing last week, to happy as heck the last past two days! I love how my emotions can change some quickly. Actually, I do not think that is the case. I just really hate to stress and worry about stupid shit, so as soon as I had the chance to be happy about something, it fucking rocked! :)
All I gotta say is I am so totally kicking with how things have turned out lately. I have a job interview on Thursday too for a child protection worker at FACS. Yaaahhh-- you know that job is mine, damn right! :)
With that being said, it means graduation is just sneaking up around the corner. I am planning on having a party at my apartment on April 22nd. I have been there for almost a year and no party.. haha do not think for a second I would be leaving that place without having one. All our welcome and I hope you can come!
I also wanted to treat myself to a graduation present. Take a nice little vacation or something, maybe either to NYC or Florida. We will see how that goes.
That pretty much covers it..... oooh wait, I am going out with a boy on Monday night! :)

I really do not want to update.
With thoughts and emotions all over the place, it really is not a good time to do so.
I will do what I can for now though.
To begin, just a few reminders of what had been happening before I went on vacation. The buffalo girls and I went out one night to play laser tag and went to Coldstone Creamry afterwards for ice cream. Any of my friends from back home that loves ice cream, please let me know and we will take a trip there whenever you come. It is sooooooooo yummy!! :) That was a real fun night. I had never played laser tag before, it was def a good work out and I will pretty good at it too since I won two of the four games! Yah for me! :)
Alexis and I went downtown for Mardi Gras during the week before I left for vacation. That was awesome. Also, another first for me as I have never went anywhere and did anything for Mardi Gras before. So many beads and so many drag queens! hahaha And for those of you that now, Mr. Too Busy returned that evening. That's about all I am going to say on that! :) hahaha
Then I left for Cuba on March 4/06 for a week! This was my second time to Cuba and my 6th all inclusive vacation. It was nice to go with family and spend some time with my cousins. This was the most beautiful beach I had seen on any of my vacations before, except in Bermuda. I love being able to relax and not have a care in the world.
Well I was going to add some pictures, but I am not exactly sure how to go about doing that. Let me go figure that out now. I will be back with more pictures and then more details about how things have been since I returned from vacation!

I totally need to update.
From a few outings prior to spring back to my vacation in the Dominican to what is going on now... I have no idea where to begin.
I am so tired though, I will try to get to it tomorrow night instead.
I have not forgotten. I will get there.
But when so much time has passed, it is hard to recall everything.

Things have been very well lately. A good weekend and so far a pretty good week.
I have been hanging out with more people from school lately, which really makes me realize that moving to Buffalo was worth while even though it took so time to get there. On last friday night, 4 of us girls (Kristin M, Kristin Z, Alexis and I) from school went out for dinner and watched a movie together afterwards. I actually meet both Kristins while I was in school over the summer, but we never hung out until now. It was a lot of fun. We are planning to do more things more often now. We only have a few months left of school so we have to make the best of it.
This weekend is going to be kinda shitty. I have to work both midnights on friday and saturday night. I have not worked midnights in so long, I am def not looking forward to this. I do think on saturday night though that Dana and I are going to go out for sushi. I really have become quite addicted/obsessed with sushi now. I did groceries on Monday night and decided I would buy some from Wegmans. Of course, it is not as good as having it from a restaurant. I had three rolls monday and then Kristin came over for lunch on tuesday and we finished the rest of rolls with some KD. haha What a combination eh?
Tomorrow night, hopefully, I am going to meet up with a new friend for a drink or two. I wonder how that will go.

This weekend was jammed packed with fun and goodtimes.
I wil begin with Friday. I went out for dinner with my roommate and our friend Kristen from school. It came as a shock to myself and many others that I actually went out with my roommate since we totally have different interests and personalities. Anyways, we went to O Restaurant and Lounge and they specialize in asain cuisine. I decided to try sushi, well this would be like my third time trying it, but this was probably most real I have ever had. The first time I was at Jenna's a few years ago and I thought it was disgusting. The second time I tried it was just last month while I was in the Dominican. I figured this probably did not do the real thing justice. Anyways, I absolutely loved it. After dinner, I met up with Alexis and we decided to hit up Chippewa. We went to Soho and Subzero. I had a few drinks, we danced and laughed. Then I meet this totally cute guy and we talked and danced all night. We were soo into each other and it just seem like things were going great. Until the end of the night, I offer to give him my number so we can call me sometime and we could hook up again. He then tells me he is too busy??? TOOO BUSY?? TOO BUSY FOR WHAT??? tf... I have never heard that in my life. That is just the most ridiculous thing ever. All I can do now is laugh.
I made my way home Saturday morning.. a little hung over. I bummed around until I have to go to work for 3pm. I knew that Kristen and Liz were gonna head downtown with girls that Kristen works with and Kristy was going out with her friends from school. I figured we would all probably just meet up somewhere. It was nearing the end of my shift at work and I was not really feeling like going out anymore. I called up Kristen and she said that her and Liz were just staying in. She invited me over to have a few drinks with them and sleep over, but I was so tired and just wanted to sleep in my own bed so I decided to just come home afterwards. I planned to meet up with the in the morning to go out for breakfast.
Well, when they were ready to go out for breakfast I had no way of meeting up with them since my mother had gone out with the car. We arranged to go out for dinner this weekend instead and hopefully for Thai food! WOOHOO! :) I ended up going out for lunch with my mom and sister. We went to the Manadrin and I was able to have more sushi... obsessed much! :) haha Once you find out you like something, you totally want to have it all the time now. Afterwards, we went and bought my some new clothes as an early birthday present so she could take on vacation with her.
I have been quite adventurous with my food choices lately so I had to call my uncle and tell him what I tried this weekend. He knew right away what it was and he was proud of me! :) haha I gave my uncle a proposition as he does not really like spending more or driving places either. I explained to him the restaurant that I went to and I told him that if he will drive down there I will treat him for dinner. He is going to plan to come down in the next few weeks or so.
Along with that, Dana, I have been reading your entries and seeing how much you love sushi and go out for it all the time. We def have to do that sometime. I am not very familiar with places in the area so you are gonna have to take me somewhere good. Let's try to arranage a sushi date sometime soon!
MMMMMM... I just realized I have left over sushi in the fridge. I wonder if it is any good.... let's go find out....

I may add a new little twist to my journal.
Not that I don't already post about my weekends or thoughts and feelings that I have, but it is going to be done a little differently now.
My best friend just moved to Australia for 10 months for teacher's college. She never knew that I used live journal before. So tonight when I was emailing her, I decided to tell her that I use this to write about random things. I figured this would be a good way for her to stay up to date about what is going on in my life, as well as all of our girlfriends and what is happening in her hometown.
I will still maintain this journal for my personal use and benefit, however it will be a little bit more tailored for my friend. I am not exactly sure if she is going to read this on a regular basis or not, but I thought this would be good for the both of us.

I hate being sick! :(
I feel this cold has been lingering for at least the past 2 weeks. It seems to be mainly during the week that I feel fine and then I feel like shit on the weekends. Could it not just be the other way around? I rather miss school, then miss going out! hahah
But now I have homework to do and all I really want to do is sleep. I cannot concentrate on homework when my body is achy, im coughing and my nose is running. Good thing the paper is not due til Tuesday. I need to just set aside 2 hours to get it done.
I think now I will lay down and if I do not get to it tonight, then I have no other choice but to do it tomorrow. It only has to be 3 pages, so I can handle that.

I always love to find out that my midnight shift has been cancelled and I can work a normal floor shift! WOOOHOOOO to that. Even better, I have not really been working much lately and I only had one 8 hr shift this weekend, that being the midnight tomorrow, but now I get to work 12 hrs on saturday. YAAAH more money!
This also means that I am going to stay in Buffalo for one more night. Normally I would go home if I had to work the midnight so I could sleep in my own bed, but now that does not matter. I will have to watch Survivor and The OC by myself tonight though. I just hate driving back to Welland after a long day at my internship.
Maybe something even better will happen tonight too............... :)

So while I sit at school and wait for all my articles to print, as there is a stupid 1 hour wait for print outs, and before I go out for a bit this evening, I decided I would continue to update my journal that I have been doing so well with lately.
Last night was a girls night in, which consisted of Alexis, Jo and myself. It was nice to be able to have this while living in Buffalo. It has been rather difficult lately as my roommate and I do not always hang out since we have quite the different social lives, however the past few days has been changing and we have been spending more time together. Anyways, Alexis and I decided that every Tuesday would be our night to get together, drink, gossip and she would sleep over since we had a morning class together on Wednesday. I hope Jo will continue to participate in our weekly get together.
While Jo and I waited for Alexis to make her way over, we indulged in our seperate choice of drinks and began watching "13 Going on 30"- what a cute movie, btw! :) Alexis joined in for the end of the movie and it was nice to just be with these girls, put all our school worries behind us and just relax. Jo went to bed early and Alexis and I stayed up and talked about the usual things we like to discuss. She has become a very good friend lately and I hope this continues for the rest of the school year and afterwards too, of course! :) We have been there for each other over the past little while and it is a nice to have a friend in Buffalo that I can count on. I went to bed feeling quite pleased with how things are going in terms of these relationships I have recently formed.

A pretty good weekend...
The plan was to go out for Kristy's birthday, however due to some circumstances she did not make it out to celebrate her birthday. It was kinda disappointing, but I understood why she did not feel like going out and getting drunk. Initially, I felt bad that I still wanted to go out, but I realized she would still want us too so the girls and I made are way out on the town. :)
The girls and I had a great night.. enjoyed a few beers, a few laughs and dances! :) I talked to a bunch of friends that I had not seen in a long time. Some brought up old memories that I just needed to push behind me. It was kinda hard to do, but then I realized I have new memories to be making with new people.
I always tend to go back to the past. Any relationship or fling that I have encountered is just comfortable to me. It is like I rather go back to that because I'm afraid of anything or anyone new. I do not think that is really going to get me anywhere considering those previous ones ended for a reason and they should not be brought up again.
I think I am beginning to realize that new adventures, people and places is what is making me happy these days. That's where I am at now.... love it! :)

I have been in Buffalo since Friday night. This is probably the longest that I have been here without making a trip back home and it turned out to be a lot better than I thought it would.
Normally, I cannot wait for the weekend to come because it is so boring here during the week. This time it was different. I was actually enjoying my time here.
Saturday - did some shopping and watched a movie, just relaxed by myself.
Sunday - Jenna came down and we spend a few hours at the library together. It was nice, just talking and doing our work, like the old days. We also made plans to do something on Friday.
Monday - My mom and sister came down and met up with them for dinner at UNO.
Tuesday - Alexis came over. We chatted, had a beer and she slept over.
Wednesday - spent the majority of my time talking to a new friend! :)
So I cannot say that I have been overly busy, but enough has been keeping me occupied that I am quite happy being here. It seems as though this semester has turned things around and I am looking forward to spending my last few months in the area now.
Many reasons as to why I am.... I will discuss those later, not ready to yet....

Last night I went to the Bon Jovi concert!! Oh am I ever glad that I went.
Originally I was not even suppose to go. My girlfriends all bought tickets and I decided that I was not going to spend the money since I had already seen him once before and I wanted to go see INXS this year. However, one of my friends was in a predicament and therefore, I offered to buy the ticket from her. It turned out to be such a good investment, especially since I never got tickets for INXS- I had now had a concert to go to!!!
Man, I don't care if he still wears tight leather pants and practically has a mullet.. the older he gets, the hotter he gets! Maybe once day he will stop living/dressing like he is stuck in the 80s though.
Afterwards, we went to the Anchor Bar (Home of the Chicken Wing), for what else, chicken wings!!!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM... they are so good to eat.
It was quite an adventure on the way home. It is funny how 5 girls and take out box of chicken wings can create such a rush and excitement! hehe ooooooh don't ask! :)
I will never forget that night.

Ok so clearly it has been a long time since I made a post.
I will just do a brief update:
Reconciled with an old friend! :)
Trip to the Dominican was fabulous.
Classes began yesterday,
Will be graduating in May.. thank god!
My sister is pregnant and will be expecting in july.
One of my best friends is moving to Australia for teacher's college in 2 days. :(
Actually quite happy with the way things are in my life right now.
Still single.. no flings, but I'm looking for something more in depth.
Hrmm... i think that is pretty much all the important stuff that really happened over the Christmas Break. Over than the usual crazy adventures that the girls and I get ourselves into, but I leave that part for the imagination.

Night in with the girls tonight is totally what the doctor ordered! This group of girl friends have really come a long way and I am glad we have all stayed so tight through the thick and thin.
I was so excited to move to Buffalo and meet new people since I really wasn't hanging out with them that much at the beginning of the year, but of course now that I move, I spend more time with them.
I look forward to coming home every week so we can have great girls nights together. We talk all week long about what we have planned for the weekend. It is definitly something great to look forward to.
Especially since next weekend they are coming up to Buffalo again! This marks the third adventure to Buffalo this year! WOOOHOO.... I cannot wait. That definitly means we are all getting hammered and creating some sort of mess!
